Lucifer has been designing Blotter Art since the early 2000's after meeting with the late and great 'Monkey' at Stawberry Sunday in London. They immediately became close allies in the blotter scene and between 2004 & 2008 produced their first set of designs together. The Cosmic Turtles design being the first signed edition.
Originally the first blotters they produced together were made on J. Blackburn's Heidleberg press in the US until 2010 when Monkey took over the production and sales of the famous blotterart.com website & slowly had the press shipped over to the UK piece by piece.
Today the original Heidelberg press responsible for thousands of well known blotter designs still runs and perforates as it has done for over 20 years but is now accompanied by 3 more auto platens and a KS cylinder press all dedicated to lithograph printing of the blotters themselves using plant based Dutch bio Inks, Chemical free paper and card stock. All our work is 100% non toxic and good enough to eat.
